I’m Deb, and I’m a product, floral and landscape photographer from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.
I believe that photography, art, architecture, interiors & design weave an intricate tapestry to tell the story of our lives and the way our unique style exists within it.
I started finding my artistic voice and personal style whilst studying art and photography in high school experimenting with different concepts and mediums predominantly through the use of light, shadow, form & textural layering to communicate the story behind my art and images.
My travels to Europe, America & Asia in my twenties fuelled my desire to explore the diversity of interior & architectural design and how its continued evolution & function exist cohesively in modern society. I completed a Diploma in Interior design through the Interior Design Institute of Australia which enabled me to better understand the origins, purpose and process of interior design, styling, product selection & placement.
Living in Tasmania for a couple of years exposed me to some of what I believe are the most incredibly diverse and breathtaking landscapes in the world. The textures, layers, natural colour palettes, and botanical and floral architecture that exists within the natural world, continues to be an ongoing source of creative inspiration.
The culmination of my life experiences thus far and my desire to pursue photography professionally was the catalyst for Lens & Muse coming to fruition in 2021.
The origins of my photography journey are heavily influenced and continue to be heavily influenced by the natural landscape and it’s textures. My prints consist of both the floral and natural world and I enjoy exploring the various ways in which both genres can be considered, composed, captured and communicated.
I also provide product photography services producing branding, e-commerce product photography and styling services. I have a particular interest in skincare, homewares and lifestyle product photography.
