Just a bit about me…
My name is Deb and I was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales before I moved to Hobart, Tasmania where I currently reside.
I studied photography in high school, and it was there that I learned the basics which would form the foundation for my journey into photography - shooting with a camera and a roll of film and processing my images in a darkroom. I picked up my digital camera and travelled to North America and Europe in my mid-twenties capturing some incredible landscapes, architecture and portraiture. After studying interior design in 2014, photographing beautifully designed spaces became my focus. In 2016 I moved to Tasmania, and it was here that I would combine my love of the outdoors and photography by capturing Tasmania’s diverse and beautiful landscape through my lens.
From the beach, to the bush and everything in between and beyond, nothing inspires me more than being outside in nature, camera in hand, creating a visual story by capturing moments in time through my lens.
I am available for interior, architecture, product, food, portrait, website, event and travel photography, as well as visual content creation for social media. For collaborations, or, if you're interested in hiring me or purchasing any of my prints, head on over to my contact page and come say hi! You can also find me on Instagram to check out more of my adventures behind the scenes.
“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them” - Elliott Erwitt
